REACh Statement

REACh (EC Regulation No. 1907/2206), stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances, entering into force on June 1st, 2007. All European companies producing or importing chemical substances in a volume of >1 t/a (per single chemical) have to register each of these substances unless a substance is explicitly exempted from this regulation. This does not only apply to the pure chemicals themselves but also to chemicals in substances, in blends as well as chemicals that are being released by certain substances.

The aim of REACh is to simplify and centralize the Laws on Chemical Substances Europe-wide. At the same time innovation and competitiveness of the European chemical industry in the global markets should be enhanced. Furthermore, the regulation wants to secure a high level of protection to human health and the environment which should contribute to strengthen the confidence of consumers in the European chemical industry.
